Pray that we will grow in our understanding of the freedom we have in Christ but will not exercise that freedom in ways that become stumbling blocks to others.
The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blond, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. Luke 4: 17-19
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1
Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block for the weak. 1 Corinthians 8:9.
Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. 1 John 2:10
