AN INVITATION
I am extending an invitation to join me in 21 days of Fasting and Prayer, September 1 through September 21, 2026
We are not asking everyone to go without food for 21 straight days. The heart behind this experience is to intentionally set aside something in order to make more room for prayer, dependence on God, and drawing closer to Him. As a church, our desire is to humble ourselves before the Lord and soften our hearts toward one another.
The goal is to create space to pray more intentionally and seek God together as a church family.
Blessings,
Pastor Chris
A Daniel Fast is a partial fast modeled after Daniel’s practice of abstaining from rich foods and eating simple foods such as fruits, vegetables, and grains. The purpose is not simply dietary restriction, but intentionally simplifying what we consume so that our attention and appetite can be redirected toward God.
A few examples of a Daniel Fast would be to:
Simplify what you eat for the 21 days
Fast from food during a particular portion of the day
Fast from specific foods such as sugar or fast food.
Eat whole foods only
Fasting from food isn't appropriate for everyone some people have health restrictions, others are already on a specific diet.
Non-food ways to participate with the community during the 21 days include:
Reducing or eliminating social media
Restricting the amount of TV or computer time
