Two new spaces for Hope kids and families — coming this fall

“Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him.” — Colossians 2:7

The Roots classroom will be for our 4th and 5th graders (ages 9-11)

The Roots classroom, formerly the lower level nursery space, represents an important season when children are beginning to develop a deeper understanding of who they are, what they believe, and what it means to follow Jesus for themselves. Just as the roots of a tree grow beneath the surface and provide the nourishment, stability, and foundation needed for future g growth, Roots is a place where students begin establishing a strong foundation of faith. Students will dig deeper into God’s Word, ask meaningful questions, understand their identity in Christ, build healthy relationships, and learn how their faith connects to everyday life. Our hope is that as their roots grow deeper in Christ, they will be prepared to stand strong as they enter new seasons of life.

Another new space will be The Nest, a warm, welcoming space for parents and caregivers to remain with their babies and toddlers during worship.

The Nest

Families can feed, soothe, change, or enjoy quiet play while staying connected to the worship experience at The Nest. This space will replace the current conference room right outside the Sanctuary. The Nest is a parent-supervised space and does not provide staffed childcare.

This fall, the room break down will look like the following: 

  • The Nest: 0m-2 years 

  • Sprouts: preschool and kindergarten (ages 3-5) 

  • Sycamores: 1st -3rd grade (ages 6-8) 

  • Roots: 4th and 5th graders (ages 9-11) 

  • Evergreen: middle school 

  • Abide: high school
